This document reflects the request by the Chairman of the KGB of the USSR to present reports about work done in 1957. The reports should reflect the following: operating status; work with agents; work with files; work with persons who returned from places of deportation and imprisonment and with former guerrillas; work of the 2nd Division; and shortcomings of human intelligence work and proposals regarding elimination of the shortcomings.
