With the US-USSR relationship changing, this letter recommends changing priorities during collection of strategic military and political information. The letter requests information about the position of US political authorities (supporters and adversaries) with regard to military disarmament, military security, and negotiations and relationship with the USSR. Furthermore, the letter requests information about US military doctrine, military capacity, and the position of the political authorities with regard to potential participation in/interference with other military conflicts.
