This letter contains a request to present a report about the operation of foreign special services that was established in the area supervised by the unit in question and about the counter-intelligence work performed by the KGB. The report should reflect the following: sites and areas of particular interest (political and social processes; strategic sites such as transport, military, and industrial sites) for the special services; activities of the special services; forms of intelligence activities of the special services (tourism, scientific and cultural exchanges, and correspondence); and specific proposals on how to fight them.
