The document reveals the measures taken by the KGB against V. Šakalys accused according to article 62 of the Criminal Code. As early as 1958, he led an anti-Soviet youth organisation, and although he was sentenced previously, after his liberation he resumed his resistance activities and developed contacts with other resistance movement members such as V. Petkus and A. Terleckas. In 1969, Šakalys was tried for theft and holding arms. Following his liberation from a labour camp, he escaped to Sweden in 1980 and a case was instigated against him for the escape. Agents and fieldwork technical measures were used to clarify how his escape was organised.
