Proposals by LSSR KGB First Department and KGB Fifth Service seeking to hinder “Peace and Freedom Cruise".
This document reflects the recommendations by KGB First and Fifth Subdivisions of how to discredit and to fail the “Peace and Freedom Cruise”. In addition to propaganda actions, it is urged to take measures in the newspaper “Gimtasis kraštas”, intended for emigrants, to compromise A. Štromas and K. Eringis, to support financially a group of Lithuanian scientists going to the Baltic institute in Stockholm with the communications about the development of Soviet Lithuania, through the specialized tourist group sent to the USA to inform that for the action participants the entry to the USSR will be closed, seeking to prevent young people to participate in the organization of the reception for an émigrés youth group in Lithuania.
