The document reviews the inspection of LSSR KGB investigation work within the period of November 1971 − June 1975. The shortcomings in the work are indicated, the arrest of the dissident Sergey Kovalyov and other individuals with anti-Soviet inclinations is surveyed. It was fixed that in 1972–1975, in the LSSR KGB Investigation Department, the investigation of 76 criminal cases for 121 persons were completed. Attention is accorded to the prevention work and fight against smuggling.
