This document provides information what measures were taken by the Vilnius KGB subdivision to fight against the possible industrial spying of foreign special services. Utmost attention was devoted to agent information collection on the activity of special services in the field of trade – economic and scientific – technical cooperation as well as tourism, their methods applied, objects of their interest in Lithuania. KGB officers and the staff of strategic objects are urged to take all measures to protect KGB objects, to classify and conceal works, which are carried out according to the KGB order, to follow the appropriate requirements in keeping documents and information contained thereof, to follow up attentively and collect discrediting information about the employees of strategically important enterprises to avoid information leakage. Special attention shall be given to the protection of strategically important information of transport and energy sectors and enterprises.

The document assesses the effectiveness of these measures, lists shortcomings and gives recommendations on how to improve the work in connection with operative files. The analysis of people with operative files on them is deeper, and the control over them is tighter. In order to stop their activities in the future, agents, prevention and discrediting are employed.
